Wing Bank joins forces with the Ministry of Commerce to bolster Cambodia’s trade and investment growth through the Cambodia Trade Expo 2024.

Wing Bank (Cambodia) Plc reaffirmed its commitment to fostering Cambodia’s economic growth by proudly sponsoring the Cambodia Trade Expo 2024. Organized by the Ministry of Commerce and inaugurated by Cambodia’s Prime Minister Samdech Moha Borvor Thipadei Hun Manet, the event served as a premier platform to spotlight Cambodia’s vast trade potential and attract global investment.

Held from December 13 to 16 at PH Grand Hall Centre, Borey Peng Huoth Boeung Snor, the expo provided the public and investors with opportunities to explore high-quality Cambodian products, services, and investment prospects in one of Southeast Asia’s most dynamic markets.

“Wing Bank is honored to contribute to this pivotal initiative that highlights Cambodia’s entrepreneurial energy and forward-thinking vision,” said Bunthe Hor, Deputy CEO of Wing Bank. “This expo is not just a showcase of products; it’s a platform for creating stronger international trade partnerships, driving sustainable economic growth, and empowering communities across the Kingdom.”

The trade fair, anticipated to host 5,000 participants, featured 246 booths showcasing a diverse array of products and services from local and international exhibitors. It also hosted several high-impact events, such as the 1st Digital Trade Forum, the Cambodia-Korea Trade and Investment Forum, and targeted discussions on expanding Cambodia’s export capabilities.

Wing Bank’s participation stood out as a highlight of the expo. The bank engages visitors with tailored financial solutions, offering personalized advice on account opening, savings plans, Wing Digital Loans, and other innovative services designed to empower individuals and businesses to achieve their financial aspirations.  Visitors to the Wing Bank booth could also enjoy an interactive experience, complete with a mini-concert, engaging games, and instant prizes, making the Bank’s presence both impactful and enjoyable.

The timing of the expo reflects Cambodia’s positive economic trajectory. According to the Ministry of Commerce, Cambodia’s international trade volume surged by 16% in the first 11 months of 2024, reaching an impressive USD 50 billion. Exports rose by 14% to USD 24 billion, while imports increased by 17% to USD 26 billion.

These figures reinforce Cambodia’s growing importance in global trade, with events like the Cambodia Trade Expo playing a crucial role in sustaining this momentum, further driving the Kingdom’s economic transformation.

Wing Bank’s support in the Cambodia Trade Expo 2024 reflects its mission to empower businesses and communities while strengthening the nation’s economic foundation. The bank remains steadfast in its support of initiatives that drive innovation, collaboration, and sustainable development across Cambodia.

“As we look ahead, Wing Bank is committed to fostering financial inclusivity and creating opportunities that enable businesses and individuals to thrive,” concluded Bunthe Hor. “Together with the Ministry of Commerce and other key stakeholders, we are shaping a future where Cambodia stands out as a hub of innovation, trade, and investment on the regional stage.”
