October 11, 2024

Gold Bar Race Season II closes with an awarding ceremony of a 0.5 Kg Gold Bar to its first winner.

The second installment of Wing Bank’s Gold Bar Race which kicked off earlier this year culminated in a thrilling prize-awarding ceremony at the Wing Bank Tower.

The winner, Dutch national Mr. Mark Chen, became the first customer to amass 15,000 Wingpoints through the Wing Bank App, earning him the coveted 0.5 kg gold bar prize.

The Gold Bar Race is designed to offer transaction incentives and added value through Wingpoints.  Customers can earn Wingpoints through Wing Bank KHQR code payments, ordering food or goods on Wingmall, performing various transactions on the Wing Bank App, and engaging in the Treasure Hunt.

These points can be redeemed for over 100,000 products across multiple categories, including electronics, accessories, home appliances, and food and beverages, all available at Wingmall.

With the launch of Wing Bank Gold Race, an accumulation of 15,000 Wingpoints offers a chance to win 0.5 Kg. gold bar, giving back even more to our customers and rewarding their usage.

“More than just a rewards program, the Gold Bar Race is our way of showing appreciation to our loyal customers while encouraging the broader adoption of digital financial services and the benefits of cashless transactions,” says Hor Bunthe, Deputy CEO of Wing Bank.

Mark Chen, the Gold Bar Season II winner, hails from the Netherlands and has been living and working in Phnom Penh since 2014 as a physiotherapist specializing in chronic pain and rehabilitation, as well as a personal trainer in professional sports.

“I’ve been using Wing since before electronic payments became popular and have taken advantage of all the services introduced over the years. My interest in investing in gold and silver likely drew me to this promotion,” Mark explains. He made it a personal challenge to earn 15,000 points to win the Gold Bar prize.

“I was dedicated, and it paid off! The timing is perfect; we just welcomed our first child and have been planning a trip to the Netherlands to introduce our son to the family. This prize will help us create unforgettable memories and contribute to our son’s future,” he adds. “Thanks to Wing Bank for being a progressive, exciting, and user-friendly bank.”

“As Season III begins, we look forward to welcoming more champions and witnessing the growing adoption of the benefits of cashless payments,” adds Hor Bunthe, Deputy CEO of Wing Bank.

Gold Bar Race Season III invites all Wing Bank App users to participate and compete for another 0.5 kg gold bar. The more transactions customers make on the Wing Bank App, the more points they will earn. The first person to accumulate 15,000 points will be declared the winner for the upcoming season. The next winner will be announced later this year.
