Overview of the Core Banking Support – CBS consists of large number of complicated modules such as CASA, TD, Foreign Exchange,Money Market,Trade,Loan,Corporate Teller,Nostro,OBBR,OBPM,ELCM,DE . Furthermore, CBS is Integrated with many systems and channels such as ATM/AML/ Mobile Banking/ Internet Banking and other similar channels . Systems such as AML and Corporate internet Banking is directly under CBS team and these systems also consists of many modules . This is on the functional side of CBS. Technical side of CBS also is complicated, and it has two main areas such as EOD operation which runs on shift basis . Other area consists of Integrations , DB support , Server Support and Infrastructure support. Also another critical area under technical is to maintain the system with the latest patch set deployments which needs lot of testing and deployment throughout the year. If we look at the existing staff structure with the capabilities we have , Its not sufficient to maintain such an operation .Also we should consider the number of accounts migrated and the number of accounts opened daily . With many products introduced regulartly this complicates more and the number of queries and issues also may increase.

  • Follow up activity plan for core banking support unit
  • Product configurations and parameter settings/fine-tuning to improve the overall Core banking system performance.
  • Keep the system with the latest patch updates and test
  • Support AML,Internet Banking and Mobile banking
  • Support system upgrades, new features and/or product tests, and fixes/patches testing
  • Understand the policies and procedures
  • Keep incident and problem records for the IT & Risk department
  • Understand the service level standards
  • Vendors follow ups and conducting meetings
  • Participate in project implementation related to Core Banking and advice business stakeholders on the optimal business process – in line with Flexcube functionality
  • Third party system integrations
  • Act as the POC for Risk and audit queries
  • Mainly focus on supporting corporate internet banking
  • Participate in business stakeholders meeting for requirements gathering
  • Graduated bachelor’s degree in information technology or related field, preferably in the field of Computer Science
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in Flexcube Core Banking System
  • Understands day-to-day Business operation, IT operations and business impact.
  • Practices and standards in dealing with external MOS and consultant.
  • Awareness of Flexcube System functional, product configurations and technical aspect
  • Integration with third party system
